Global Emergency Management (GEM): a new organisation which has been established to provide consultancy, advice and training in all areas of emergency planning.

Activities range from helping organisations to identify risk and create contingency plans to deal with the emergencies that could ar

ise, to identifying roles and required skills, designing and delivering training, and devising and running exercises.

The growing threat of natural and man-made disasters, together with the implications of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, place greater responsibilities on us all to be prepared.
