Group Security Manager required to oversee the mining operations for a growing mining and metals company whose principal activities include mineral exploration, development and mining in Africa.
Person Specification
Extensive knowledge of security operations in the African region with specific experience of work at the strategic level working with senior Govt officials, diplomats and Chief Executive Officers.
Military or Police background with commercial experience preferable
Ability to operate independently in remote areas – the candidate is required to work in volatile environments.
The Security Managers role must have an incumbent comfortable with the management and leadership of a wide spread of personnel (security managers).
The candidate should be adept at contingency planning and crisis management. Must have demonstrable strategic planning experience and the ability to integrate at the higher levels.
Diplomacy skills essential as well as the ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
French speaker would be preferable.
