I am a 34 year old ex Royal Marine Commando of 6 years. I served my time with 45 CDO and FPGRM. From Lympstone i was drafted to X coy as a rifleman completing AWT in Norway and JWT in Brunei, training in Zimbabwe, mountain training etc. From there i was chosen for Y coy as part of Fleet Standby Rifle Troop. This presented the opportunity to serve on board HMS York in the Far East as a Quick Reaction Force. We also were patrolling the Persian Gulf as part of Anti Piracy and Anti Smuggling Operations. From there i passed selection for Recce Troop 45 CDO and in the two years i completed courses including Reconnaisance Leader Course, Jungle Warfare Long Range Patrol Course, Para Course and Close Observation training before deploying on a 6 month tour of Kosovo. From there i was drafted to FPGRM, as well as guarding the Nuclear Fleet i was responsible for training junior marines. I left the corps in 2002. I am currently self employed.
