Retired military senior officer with 25 years service. Career has an operational, training, staff and research profile. After leaving the military worked briefly as an Advisor/Fellow at the Advanced Research & Assessment Group (ARAG) at the UK Defence Academy before joining the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London. At RUSI, established the Institute's Operational Studies Programme and spent much of 2008 focused on Afghanistan. Made redundant from RUSI in February 2009 when 3 programmes shut-down (for economic reasons). Principally looking for work overseas, but would consider UK-based opportunities. Available for long or short-term employment.
