Independent professionally qualified trainer specialising in 1. Policing and Post-Conflict community engagement, confidence and capacity building 2. Pre-Trial Detention, Rights of Detainee and Accused persons as defined by ECHR, ICCPR, SMRTP, Arbitrary and Admin. Detention etc. 3. Investigative Interviewing techniques and Human Rights compliance. Practical 'how to do it' based approaches with strong 'in country' context setting skills. Recently engaged as STE in Kyrgyzstan & Azerbaijan developing training in above areas (1- 3) and policing advisor on N.Ireland Policing Board project Policing Republican and Loyalist Communities. Experience in Balkans (UN) Community Policing, Research Community Policing & Neighbourhood Management in U.S.A., Sweden,Finland (CEPOL) and Georgia & Ukraine Election Monitoring. 28 Years policing in Northern Ireland pre and post conflict ,operational, strategic and training. Retired 2010. Main interest - Eastern Europe, CIS & Central Asia.
